Big Workouts Today!

by Jason Marshall on December 22, 2010

I did the P90 Sweat 1-2 this morning. Later, I spent about an hour snow blowing the driveway (it’s a pretty good workout). And then, I did a Kathy Smith Project you, Foundation workout with my wife. I got lots of activity today, and I ate properly.

It seems like after only a few workouts, I am getting more energy and am completing the workouts with more ease.

Overdid it yesterday…

December 23, 2010

I’ve got to remember to take it slow. My joints and tendons are sore from too much sedentary lifestyle. I probably overdid it yesterday. 2 workouts and an hour of snow removal. Guess I will relax today and resume working out tomorrow once I heal a bit. Crazy. I kind of feel like a wimp. [...]

A lesson about overdoing it!

December 27, 2010

A few days ago, I was feeling really good and I overdid it. I over stretched and over-trained and strained my calf muscle. It is swollen and painful and has internal bruising. A trip to the ER ruled out a DVT (blood clot). This comes a couple of months after I went to the doctor [...]

Bad Couple of Days, Nutritionally Speaking

January 10, 2011

Well, no undertaking is without it’s hurdles and set-backs. I ate pizza and drank beers and kind of fell off of my low-carb eating plan over the last couple of days, gaining two pounds. I’m going to have to get back on the wagon/treadmill! My leg still hurts from over training nearly two weeks ago, [...]

This is an article from a professional who teaches for one the most respected kettlebell training communities in the country. It was written by Dr. Mark Cheng in response to some of his students and peers who were questioning his vocal support of Shakeology. Dr. Cheng gave us (Beachbody) permission to reprint it here. Lately, [...]

Good, Long, Slow Workout on the Treadmill

January 22, 2011

Hey all… Since I have had joint and tendon problems, my doc told me to keep exercising, but to take it easy for awhile. I’ve been using the treadmill as a way to burn some calories while maintaining a low impact routine. A couple more treadmill only days, and I’ll be back on the P90 [...]

Another Awesome Way to Enjoy Subway

January 22, 2011

Okay, so I eat a lot of Subway. It happens to be one of the only places available in my small town where I can get some healthy food. I am always looking for new, healthy ways to enjoy it, and I have come up with another recipe/technique that I thought I would share. Order [...]
